Reading aloud Men, according to a study, prefer full-skinned women rather than very thin ones. Psychologist Erica Miller of the University of New Mexico had approached 138 men who had been looking for a "slender" or "very slender" woman in a partnership ad. She presented nine illustrations of women's bodies - from extremely thin to overweight. No man chose the extremely thin figure, reports the journal "Psychology Today" in its August issue with reference to the investigation. Most men chose a body shape that was midway between thin and overweight. With that, the men chose an appearance that most women would no longer consider "slim, " Miller writes. And even those looking for a "very slim woman" preferred only the third-thinnest body shape.

Men who chose very slim women were the richest in the subjects. Men who liked a full-bodied woman better had a higher education.
