Reading Ten minutes of light exercise are enough to invigorate the mind and dispel the bad mood. Researchers at the University of Northern Arizona had students practice ten, twenty, or thirty minutes on a bicycle exercise bike. Just ten minutes of moderate training would have been enough to significantly improve the mood of the students, the researchers report in the magazine "Health Psychology". After the physical exercise, the students lived up and felt less tired, writes psychologist Cheryl Hansen. The ten minutes were enough for that. Twenty or thirty minutes of training did not improve the mood of the students. However, there was no such thing as depression or serious anger when biking in the fourteen subjects.
However, researchers from the American College of Sports Medicine recommend more than ten minutes of sports every day. In order to maintain overall health and also to strengthen the heart and lungs, moderate exercises are needed daily for about thirty minutes.
